These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Cardex (the “Service”), a peer-to-peer online classifieds platform that connects private buyers and sellers of motor vehicles within the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, registering for, or otherwise using Cardex, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by any policies referenced herein, including our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Cardex. The Service is intended for UAE residents and businesses legally established in the UAE. By creating an account, you represent that you hold a valid Emirates ID (for individuals) or a valid trade licence (for businesses), and that the information you provide is true, accurate, and current. We may request verification of your identity or business status at any time and may suspend access pending such verification.

3. User Obligations

When using Cardex, you agree to:

Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in every listing.
Not engage in fraud, deception, or any misleading practice.
Not post spam, repetitive, or low-quality content.
Not impersonate any person, business, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
Keep your account credentials confidential and secure, and promptly notify us of any unauthorized use.
Comply with all applicable UAE laws and regulations when listing, buying, or selling a vehicle.

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Prohibited Content

The following content and conduct are strictly prohibited on Cardex:

Listing stolen vehicles or vehicles you do not have the legal right to sell.
Listing salvage, flood-damaged, or written-off vehicles without clear and prominent disclosure.
Fake, duplicate, or otherwise deceptive listings.
Vehicles with illegal modifications or modifications that do not comply with UAE roadworthiness regulations.
Price manipulation, bait-and-switch tactics, or coordinated efforts to distort market pricing.
Non-UAE vehicles offered without clearly disclosing their origin and import status.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms and to take action against the responsible account.

5. Listing Rules

Only one active listing is permitted per vehicle.
All prices must be stated accurately and in UAE Dirhams (AED).
Photographs must depict the actual vehicle being offered, not stock or representative images.
Listings automatically expire 30 days after publication. Expired listings may be renewed, subject to these Terms and our content checks.

6. Liability Disclaimer

Cardex is a peer-to-peer marketplace that provides a platform for buyers and sellers to connect. Cardex is not a party to any transaction between users, does not buy, sell, inspect, or take possession of any vehicle, and does not act as an agent, broker, or escrow service. We make no warranty or representation regarding the accuracy, quality, legality, or safety of any listing or vehicle. All inspections, negotiations, payments, ownership transfers, and other dealings are conducted directly between buyers and sellers, at their own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cardex disclaims all liability arising from any transaction or interaction between users.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Cardex, including listing text, photographs, and other materials. By submitting content, you grant Cardex a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt for display purposes, and distribute that content on and in connection with the Service, including for promotional and search-indexing purposes. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit. All Cardex trademarks, logos, and platform software remain the property of Cardex.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

Cardex may, at its sole discretion, suspend, restrict, or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent or harmful behaviour, or triggers our automated or manual moderation checks. When an account is banned, its active listings are hidden from the Service and its sessions are terminated. Banned users may appeal a decision by contacting us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. We may also terminate or suspend access where required to comply with applicable law or a lawful request from a competent authority.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [EMIRATE], UAE.
